    1. Accreditation Contracts

      Extended current accreditation contracts for an additional six years (July 1, 2007 June 30, 2013) with the provision that, after one years time, the State Board of Education will negotiate with local school districts the original terms and conditions on which the accreditation contract is based to reflect statutory or other changes that may occur in the period ending June 30, 2007; the negotiated changes would be in effect for the remaining five years of the contract July 1, 2008 through June 30, 2013.

    11. Denver Public Schools Waivers: Teach For America Teacher in Residence and/or Alternative Teacher Preparation Program

      Approved waivers for the Denver Public Schools (DPS) for a two-year period ending February 29, 2009, in order that the district have the ability to implement a Teach For America (TFA) Teacher in Residence (TIR) Program and/or Alternative teacher preparation program, as follows: 22-9-106(4)(a), 22-60.5-106, and 1 CCR 301-37 2260.5-R paragraph 2.00; and Sections 2.00, 3.00 (including 3.01 (1)-(7) and 3.12), 7.00, 8.00, 9.00, 11.00, 13.00, 14.00 and 18.00; and 22-32-110.3, 22-60.5-201, 22-60.5-203, 22-60.5-205, 22-63-201, 22-63-203, 22-63-301, 22-63-302, 22-63-403, and 1 CCR 301-37 2260.5-R paragraph 2.00, Section 4.12, for candidates participating in the DPS TFA Preparation Program to be utilized and become licensed in hard-to-fill areas as defined by DPS. The waivers incorporate accountability provisions that include twice annual reviews during the two-year pilot. These waivers apply only to a single source program and only to the Denver Public Schools, as a single district.
