Notice a hearing to be held at the October 4, 2007 State Board Meeting at 10:30 a.m. to amend the Rules for the Administration of the Summer School Grant Program.
 

XVI. ACTION ITEMS - EXCEPTIONAL STUDENTS/PREVENTION /AT-RISK

1. State Funding for Family Literacy Education
Approve selected programs for Family Literacy Education grants.

2. Gifted Education: Distribution of 2007-2008 State Funding for Gifted and Talented Student Education
Approve payments of funds under the Exceptional Childrens Educational Act to administrative units in the amounts indicated on the attachment.

3. Notice Rules Hearing: Proposed Amendments to the Rules for the Administration of the Exceptional Children's Educational Act
Notice a hearing to be held at the October 4, 2007 State Board Meeting on the amended Rules for the Administration of the Exceptional Childrens Educational Act.
 

XVII. MANAGEMENT, BUDGET & PLANNING

1. Basic Grants to Boards of Cooperative Educational Services (BOCES)
Approve amounts payable to BOCES as listed above.

2. Certification of Amounts Payable to School Districts for the Public School Finance Act of 1994 as Amended
Certify the July 2007 through November 2007 amounts payable to school districts for the Public School Finance Act of 1994 (as amended) state share of total program in the monthly amount of $271,019,830.54 and the total amount of $1,355,099,152.70.

3. "School Capital Construction Expenditures Reserve" and "School Construction and Renovation Fund" Projects
Approve the projects recommended for award from the School Capital Construction Expenditures Reserve, the School Construction and Renovation Fund, and the Back-Up list.

4. NASBE Dues
Agree to pay annual dues, in the amount of $25,788, to the National Association of State Boards of Education (NASBE).
