1. Douglas County School District Waiver Request
Approve the Douglas County School District waivers for a two-year period ending September 30, 2008, as follows: 22-9-106(4)(a); 22-60.5-106, 201; 22-63-201, 203, 301, 302, and 403, CRS. Staff also recommends waiving the following rule for the same time period: 1 CCR 301-37 2260.5-R-2.00, 7.00, 8.00, 9.00 and 11.00.

2. Resolution on Lifting Student Achievement Through Enhanced Local Control
Adopt the proposed resolution on lifting student achievement through enhanced local control proposed by member Bob Schaffer.

1. Amendment to the Contract: Colorado Department of Education, Office of Management Services and ACT, Inc.
Approve the contract Amendment between the Colorado Department of Education, Office of Management Services and ACT, Inc., for the total amount of $1,412,224 for the dates of 07/01/06 through 6/30/07.

Review this program at its October 5, 2006 meeting and action at its November 9, 2006 meeting to approve the content of the proposed Principal/Adminsitrator Induction program at the Ellicott School District.

2. Proposed Teacher Induction Program: Hope Montessori Academy and Andrews Academy, Colorado Springs.

Review this program at its October 5, 2006 meeting and then at its November 9, 2006 meeting approve the content of the proposed Teacher Induction program at the Hope Montessori Academy and Andrews Academy in Colorado Springs.


3. Proposed Principal/Administrator Induction Program: Weld Re-8 School District, Ft. Lupton
Review this program at its October 5, 2006 meeting and then at its November 9, 2006 meeting approve the content of the proposed Principal/Administrator Induction Program submitted by the Weld Re-8 school district, Ft. Lupton.

4. Amendments to Rules for the Administration of the Educator Licensing Act of 1991
Review the proposed amendments of the Educator Licensing Rules prior to the November 9 hearing. Further edits have been made since you noticed the hearing in September.

5. Proposed Resolution: Concerning Environmental Education
Review the attached proposed resolution supporting environmental education introduced by members Jared Polis and Karen Middleton.
