Assessment Events

The Unit of Student Assessment will continuously accept applications for content experts who are interested in serving on events. Different committees and events support the development work and related processes for state assessments (CSAP, CSAPA and CELA).

Representation

Participants in development events must represent the ethnic diversity of the state and the regions of Colorado. Additionally, each event must include content experts whose qualifications include specific training in meeting the needs of the Gifted and Talented, English Language Learners and students with special needs. Participants must be NCLB “highly qualified” in the content area of focus. Unfortunately, we cannot consider applications of participants who do not meet these requirements. Members of our assessment committees do not need to re-apply for individual events.

Confidentiality

Event participants will support the ongoing development of their respective content area assessments. This requires working with live test items; therefore, confidentiality agreements will be signed before each session.
