    Best Practices for Career Pathways and Credentials webinar

    States and local areas across Region 5 are developing Career Pathways models to better align education and training programs with the needs of employers. The goal is to help individuals attain relevant certifications, connect successfully to work, and advance to higher levels of education and wages over time. This webinar will highlight two of those models from Region 5 states with the purpose of providing specific “how-to” information for other states and local areas interested in developing their own Career Pathways initiatives. Presentations will cover: the “Six Key Elements” critical to successful Career Pathways models; the ideal state and local governmental structure to establish and support Career Pathway models; key partnerships that must be forged and maintained to fully implement Career Pathways; strategies for effectively engaging employers to inform training design and delivery; how to integrate Career Pathways into existing workforce development systems; how Career Pathways can positively impact local workforce development service delivery and performance outcomes

    Findings from the Adult Transitions Longitudinal Study (Part II of 2 part webinar)
    Part I: Archived Recording

    Using both quantitative and qualitative data analysis, this session will present the key findings about transition course program features that support successful college trajectories and findings about factors that help or hinder adult students to go to college. After learning these findings, participants will work with others to discuss the implications of these findings for their own work in college transitions.
