PD MAP
Professional Development Monthly Advisor and Planner

The Professional Development Monthly Advisor and Planner (PD MAP) identifies current professional development options for Colorado’s adult basic education teachers.

Each PD MAP focuses on a single theme pertinent to increasing teachers’ fundamental knowledge about adult basic education and to improving instructional skills. The single theme allows teachers to reflect on and engage in discussions around a common topic.

Resources are drawn from more than two dozen state and national sources of articles based on research, professional wisdom or promising practices, curricula, study circle guides, trainings, online courses, webinars and conferences. Each resource is identified, annotated, and linked to its Web site. The resources listed in each PD MAP address the monthly theme; however, PD events that occur only during the designated month are also included.

Options span the four strands of Colorado’s Professional Development System for Adult Education Teachers – Self Study, Collaboration with Colleagues, Workshops, Trainings and Conferences, and Courses for Credit.
