Professional Development Monthly
Advisor and Planner
The Professional Development Monthly Advisor and Planner (PD MAP) identifies current professional development options for Colorado’s adult basic education teachers.
Each PD MAP focuses on a single theme pertinent to increasing teachers’ fundamental
knowledge about adult basic education and to improving classroom skills. Resources are drawn from the CDE/AEFL web-based Professional
Development Resource Bank, the CDE/AEFL Professional Development Centers, state and national adult education professional associations,
and community college EDU courses.
Options span the four strands of Colorado’s Professional Development System for Adult Education Teachers – Self Study, Collaboration with Colleagues, Workshops, Trainings and Conferences, and Courses for Credit.
