Colorado High School Equivalency Testing
GED Grad Day: May 16
GED will hold its virtual celebration for this year's graduates on Friday, May 16, 2025 via Facebook live stream! Here are some ways to join in the GED Grad Day festivities:
- Join the GED Graduates Facebook Community for tips and encouragement from fellow learners and for the live stream ceremony at 11:00am MT on May 16.
- Record your GED story in a video. A compilation of graduates' stories will be shared publicly on Grad Day.
- Use #GEDGradDay on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.
Haven't finished all four GED tests yet? Use GED Grad Day as motivation to complete your tests by May 16 and celebrate earning your High School Equivalency Diploma alongside thousands of other GED graduates across the country. Take advantage of the resources GED provides on its Blog and Marketplace to tackle your remaining subjects. You can do this!

The PWR of High School Equivalency
A High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma is equivalent to a traditional high school diploma for the purpose of obtaining education or employment in Colorado. The two State Board of Education-approved HSE tests in Colorado are:
- the GED® (General Educational Development) Test, provided by GED Testing Service (GEDTS®); and
- the HiSET® (High School Equivalency Test), provided by PSI Services.
Note: As of September 2020, TASC is no longer offered in Colorado; however, credentials earned by taking the TASC test are still valid.
