Colorado's District Sample Curriculum Project

Next Phase

This summer, the Standards and Instructional Support office will convene Colorado teachers and district leaders to participate in the creation of full instructional units based on selected unit overviews from the bank of samples. These fully-developed units will include:

  • Instructional strategies
  • Assessment options
  • Accommodation/differentiation ideas
  • Resource possibilities

The CDE plan for facilitating sample curriculum depends on the participation of dedicated teachers throughout Colorado who are responsible for the instructional delivery of standards-based curricula. This final phase of Colorado’s District Sample Curriculum Project will:

  • Bring together Colorado teachers and district leaders to create instructional units based on the curriculum samples
  • Produce at least one full instructional unit at every grade and for every content area that reflects a model of educators working together to plan for the instruction of all students

The details regarding the work of this phase as well as the application to participate are now available.
