SPDG: Early Childhood (EC)
- There are 8 implementation Districts/BOCES partnering with
the SPDG. The number of classrooms per District/BOCES in which
the Teaching Pyramid strategies were implemented ranged from six
to sixty-four.
- The majority of the activities were technical assistance to
the eight leadership teams on a monthly basis. The technical
assistance to these teams included assistance in completing the
Benchmarks of Quality, helping in the development of action
plans, as well as some training on the pyramid model, the TPOT,
and the Inventory of Practices.
- All eight EC leadership teams, ranked themselves using the
BoQ tool; however, only three had a pre/post score from year 1
to year 2. For these three teams the average percent of critical
elements “in place” increased from 17.6% to 44.3%, which is an
increase of 22.7%. All are on track to reaching fidelity by the
end of the grant.
