The purpose of the 21st Century Community Learning Centers grant is to establish or expand community learning centers that provide students with academic enrichment opportunities along with activities designed to reinforce and complement the students’ regular academic program. Proposed programs must serve students that attend high poverty, low performing schools.
The priority areas for this grant competition are: Science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) programming tied to the Colorado Academic Standards; comprehensive health and wellness component based on the Comprehensive Health and Physical Education (CHPE) state standards; strategies to assist in the improvement of attendance rates of students being served at the 21st CCLC sites and implementation of next generation learning environment characteristics and student outcomes/competency areas.
Approximately $4 million in funding is available for distribution. Applications are due on Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2015. An application webinar was held on Wednesday, Nov. 19, from 9 – 10 am (archived recording and webinar handouts are available below) and an in-person grant writing training will be held on Thursday, Dec. 4 (registration document is available below). 2015 RFP Grant Writing Training
There is a Grant Writing Training on December 4th 2014. This training will held at The Summit Conference & Event Center located at 411 N Sable Blvd, Aurora, CO 80011. We will begin registration at 8:30 am with a prompt start time of 9:00 am. Lunch will not be provided and sufficient time has been allotted for those individuals choosing an offsite location. We look forward to providing you with the training that will assist you in preparing your 21st CCLC 2015 Grant Application.
